On the heels of America Recycles Day and on our last day for the free EBook promotion, we felt compelled to give the environmentalist Sharon Guynup further recognition. She is one of the six outliers profiled in our Ingredients of Outliers: Women Game Changer series. Sharon Guynup is an environmental journalist and photographer whose work has been seen in such notable publications as Smithsonian, National Geographic, and USA Today, among others. She began as a child exploring her backyard with her grandfather, who taught her the beauty and solace in the outdoors, using an Instamatic camera and a spirit of adventure. She would later apply that same curiosity and tenacity to making her explorations count, as an advocate for endangered species.
We are pleased to share with you a video of Guynup giving a TEDx Talk in the recent past. In our interview with her, she shared with us that this was actually her very first public lecture (how’s that for a first time speaking gig??). Her video not only awakens our minds to the world’s endangered species but also shows her tenacity at stepping forward to help this cause. Sharon is engaging to viewers and teaches us about the dire need for saving the world’s biggest cats. We encourage you to watch the video shared below and find out a little more about this woman outlier in our free EBook promotion ending today.
How does she inspire you to be an outlier? Comment below and share.
