The in-class close reading handout has students reading the piece on ego three times. The first time, they will be answering questions about what they observed. With the second read, students will begin to analyze the piece. Finally, the third read will help the students look at how the text works.

In addition to the close reading handout, there is a Blooms Taxonomy question list that teachers can use for discussion.
