Summer Scholarship Deadlines

In May, new scholarship opportunities will begin to dwindle. It’s time to focus on scholarships that have an end of May or summer deadline. I hope you have added the deadlines to your calendar so you can buckle down and finish strong!

 

“Small” Scholarships

Don’t let the dollar amount of a scholarship discourage you, but do weigh the effort-to-dollar ratio. Every scholarship counts, whether it is $100 or $10,000. Just make sure the scholarships below $1,000 are worth your time and energy away from other scholarship applications.

On the same token, weigh the amount of competition you think you’ll have. Those ‘smaller’ scholarships, especially if offered by a smaller school, may have less competition and can truly add up to a significant amount.

 

New Summer Scholarship Announcements

Many students give up looking for scholarships in exchange for a nice summer break. But, summer is a great time to look now that you have more time and are done with school.

We have found some useful websites for you to find scholarships that have summer deadlines.  The summer season tends to be a ‘slower’ season for applicants because many students do not realize the summer scholarship potential. Therefore, keeping up with the scholarship search during the later months can really pay off when there is a smaller pool of qualified applicants.
